Insurance Underwriting Assistant
The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Insurance Underwriting Assistant to join our dynamic team in Athens. The Underwriting assistant is responsible for reviewing all lines of business and ensuring that policies are issued in accordance with the established underwriting guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process insurance applications and related documents
- Verify and collect necessary information from clients and agents
- Conduct research and gather data to assess risk factors
- Assist in the evaluation of policy terms and conditions
- Maintain accurate and organized underwriting record.
- Collaborate with underwriters to make informed decision.
- Communicate effectively with clients, agents, and internal teams
- Provide administrative support to the underwriting department
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in insurance, underwriting, or a related role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and insurance software
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and best practices is a plus.
